Cancer seems to slow in micro-gravity

At least for thyroid cancer cells. This could have some interesting ramifications:

  • If cancer in general slows in zero-gravity, would this offset the increased cancer risk that in-transit astronauts and passengers incur due to exposure to radiation in space?
  • Is there a market for micro-gravity cancer clinics in low-Earth orbit?  Both for treatment of cancer patients and for research?
