Curiosity makes first discovery of organic chemicals on Mars

More indications of possible ancient life. As I said here earlier (er…maybe it was on a LinkedIn post), this is certainly newsworthy, but only confirms what we already suspect. The discovery of current life on Mars would be huge news.

Hmmmm…in other related articles, it appears that the organic chemicals were found in ancient water locked in the Cumberland rock, and recently Curiosity caught its first whiff of methane, as explained in the video below:

Finding methane *could*, maybe, be evidence of current life. THAT is a big deal, as stated above.

A good day for Curiosity, that’s for sure.
