Rosetta produces amazing pictures from Valentine’s Day fly-by

Rosetta swoops to within 3.8 miles of the comet’s surface.

This image was from an altitude of 8.9 km and has a resolution of 0.76 m / pixel.

For you math nerds, that means that at an altitude of 3.8 miles, the pixel resolution would be about 0.52 m (20.5 inches)/ pixel.

Unfortunately, it looks like they weren’t looking in the right place to find Philae (either their guess, or or mine), but maybe I’m wrong. 20 inch/pixel certainly is a high enough resolution to see the lander if so.
