CleanSpace One to capture and remove defunct CubeSat

This will be interesting to track, but in reality this isn’t a solution at all. We can’t send up a satellite for each piece of debris up there…and that’s not counting the thousands of thousands of debris too small to track.

I envision some sort of ballistic gel that stays a semi-fluid in extreme cold and vacuum, like a giant cube or sphere meters wide that could just fly around and squeegy clean everything in its path, whether it’s matching velocity and orbit with the debris (like CleanSpace One) or not.

Let me know when you’ve invented such a material.
